After determining that I would use a Prestolite Alternator, I needed to research a proper voltage regulator. With the help of a technician from EMS (EMS is Electrical Motor Service, Rt. 10, Box 511, Stollings, WV, 25646, Tel # 800 697 6070) it was determined that P/N F7078 from TRANSPO would be the proper match. This regulator is specifically for the 60 Amp. Prestolite Alternator (Aircraft). It so happens that with this particular regulator, a warning light can be incorporated into the design. Also see the Main Electrical Schematic ( Electrical Schematic, Image # 2 ). It should be noted that This system is compatable with Ford, in fact Prestolite seems to be affiliated with Ford Motor Company.
