Inboard Flap Support |
|
|
Finished last inboard flap support. These were actually much easier to build than I thought they would be. Accurately setup your rear spar line and measure appropriately forward from there gets you set horizontally. I used a spacer between the main tube and the bearing to set the center to center distance. I cut a piece of scrap 3/4" tubing to the appropriate length and then squeezed it in a vice so it would fit inbetween the legs of the bearring and vertical distance was set. From the last few days: bearing body for bellcrank and aileron support frame. Speaking of the bellcranks. Discovered Wicks did not send enough ?1/2 x 0.039? tubing to finish the bellcranks. Wicks did great for customer service but I don't know who did the guestimating for their wing steel order for the bearhawk. It is short 3/4 x 0.049 by about 10 feet and the above 1/2. don't remember what else. |
