Finish Cowl Centerline Trimming |
|
|
Couldn't take any pictures, cuz I'd need a few more hands to hold things in place to shoot. Spent a lot of time doing a lot of trim tonight. Trimmed the oil sump baffle on the right side. Trimmed the centerline a LOT - almost to the point where I thought I'd really be in trouble trimming too much. Finally I remembered what Jeremy told me: "Concentrate on the corners." The other trim work was definitely needed, as I had some overlap over most of the centerline area. The right side lower corner was a bit "thicker" than the left, so I got out the dremel and shaved it down somre more. This did the trick - the cowl centerline is now flush over its entire length. Next up is trimming the fuel filler door and the oil cooler opening, and mounting the centerline hinges. |
