The alternator was installed earlier to see how it might interfere with other items going on the engine. The nuts were not safetied or the locking plates installed. I also found out back then that I had a alternator belt alignment issue. B&C worked with me and supplied a different bracket. All good now. Torqued the alternator bracket to 150 in-lbs, locked the tabs and installed safety wire. Torqued the alternator pivot bolt to 300 in-lbs and safetied. I had to drill a hole in the bracket to accomodate. Finally I torqued the tension arm bolt to 150 in-lbs, drilled a safety wire hole and installed safety wire.
