Finished work on 8 foot bending brake |
|
|
Finally back at it after a few month hiatus. Finished the mods to make the 8 foot brake adjustable. Works good. Much tighter tolerance from face of bending pivot to clamp pivot point. Fabricated and test strip for the elevator skin out of a 100mm wide test strip of .016. Got it right the first try. Wrte down measurements as I made it so I know how to the make the real thing. Pretty expensive piece of .016 sheet to have to throw away if I mess it up. Being that it's roughly 3' x 7', you basically only get one shot out of a 4 x 12 sheet at $90/sheet. |
