Co pilot side has the autopilot servo linkage in the way. Routing grip wires like these pictures avoids all linkages. It results in very little wire movement overall. Anything ziptied to the large white cross tube has no movement for side to side stick. It rotates with fore/aft stick movement, but that's fine because everthing the wires are tied to rotates together.e.g. no wire movement. The pilot side has the same geometry so I route the wires to co pilot side via that thick white tube. It exits downwards in the same bay (first one inboard from Copilot stick). This is where I will mount a surplus Dynon network hub and use 3 of the 5 connections. Also in that bay I will mount a 5 terminal block that uses 6/32 ring terminals. It is a grounding block. More on that later. The wires are routed forward of the lower stick connecting rod, then under that rod and get an adel clamp aft of that rod on the side wall of the floor rib. The wires then go aft, make a 180 turn and with the DB9 connectors, join together at the 3 DB9 hub. |
