Used 3 Adel clamps to position the heater control cable including one on the firewall at the end of the run. I first used a supplied shaft-drilled AN3 bolt with washers to secure the cable wire. No Joy. The cable connection bolt needs to rotate a little as you open and close the heater flap because of the geometry going on down there. It didn't allow any movement so the cable did not achieve full throw. I replaced it with a special wire connector that swivels because you use a castle nut and cotter pin, allowing slight movement. Thats enough to allow the cable to remain straight as it is pulled open and closed. It worked perfectly. Check.
