I worried, reading all the stuff about leakage. I took some time to finger-test long flying RV inlet ramps to feel how they sealed. I was pleasantly surprised that most, if not all, were very easy to feel how air could get around the forward most areas of the inlet ramps on each side. I have been worrying needlessly about such minutia. Do the best you can to have overlaps cover the areas and move on. One of the aircraft I checked was missing a rubber seal around the governor oil line up front. And that RV has been flying a long time. See? Do the best you can and move on.
