Had to go to West Marine for a couple #2AWG to 1/4 inch lugs for the Odyssey battery. Made some soft wire templates for length and proceeded to cut the #2AWG on the band saw. That worked real well and if you don't push it, the saw makes a nice clean cut without spreading out the end. I had a lug crimper, although not as nice as my buddy's, it did a good job. I even pushed in a couple 14 guage home wiring copper spikes 1/2 inch long into the end before I compressed it and it made one really nice tight compression. Didn't forget to put the boots or 2 sizes of heat shrink on before I did all that, so it turned out well. Had some free boots from VTE when I asked for some samples, so I used them here. The lug on the master relay I made a 90 degree bend so the wire can come in above the ANL fuse blocks. Confidence up. On to the next job. I need to buy some 6AWG for the B Lead alternator and line into the VPX as the 8AWG from Vans supports 35 amp. I'm at 60 amps with the alternator and pushing 50 with the electrical load.
