Took awhile to understand exactly how large to make center stack openings, especially in the instrument panel. Eventually, I realized I want the trays to go in from behind. The Garmins (GTN750, SL40) call for 6.25 width if securing from behind and the PM5000 Audio Panel tray calls for simply 6.31. 6.25 hides the cut line when the units are installed. Thats what I wanted so I tried for 6.25 and ended up with 6.26. I'll take it. The Skyviews were cut to the Dynon dimension (9.68 wide and 6.9 high) and the copilot side Dynon dropped in perfectly.
