Brief Description:    Reworking the Form blocks
One of the first basic rules that I was taught as a tool/diemaker was that when making fixtures or jigs, locating on a screw/bolt is the least desirable option.

Keeping that in mind, I decided to change from using wood screws in all of the form blocks. I have re-fitted all of theblocks with "t" nuts and socket head cap screws (10-24)

It seemed like a better option than the wood screws as I was concerned that they would eventually strip out from being used a lot.

I had my Grandfather supervising tonight. He is an old-school pattern-maker with aircraft experience and oodles o sheet metal knowledge.

We will see how well this new setup works, tonight.
