Now working the rudder leading edge. Rolling the individual skins before riveting the Rudder Assembly together also made it difficult to add a slight bend to the edge of the right skin - that's the edge that ends up on top. I managed to get it done but would recommend waiting until the Rudder Assembly is riveted together before bending the edge. I would also recommend bending the edge before rolling the leading edge. After clecoing all of the holes in the leading edge I then taped the leading edge in between the clecos to be certain that when I pulled a cleco the skins stayed put. Image 3 (below) shows me drilling the leading edge. |
