I have been avoiding the project, and had some distraction. Feeling keen again. Started making some tools to deal with things that the store-bought stuff wasn't dealing with. Super-glued a neob-whatsit magnet onto a bit of wire and discovered it was a marvellous tool for placing washers where I couldn't reach.
