Fitting Nose gear |

Removed the Rudder Pedals, cleaned up the flox lumps and bumps and sanded surrounds. Wound the Canard bolts out a bit until the end is flush with the back of the nutplate, and put a dob of assembly grease on the end. Put a small piece of masking tape over the Rudder Pedal nutplates, and marked the centre. Bogged up gaps, prepped the foam and faired the back of the Canard nutplates with flox. 1 x BID over the back of the Canard nutplates. 3 x BID over the Rudder Pedal hardpoints, using up ALL my BID scraps. Peel plied all edges. Trial installed EZ Noselift & Nose Gear, (without wheel). Extended gear and checked castor roughly, looks OK. Retracted gear manually until nose fork touches fuselage. Way fun. |
