Wired cable to servo and worked on trim tab |
|
|
Carefully studied the documentation of the servo unit. Did a breadboard wiring hookup of the push button control, the display and the servo using a 9V battery source. It all worked fine. Reset servo to mid position. Wired the leads from the servo to the 5 foot 5 conductor cable. I twisted each bared wire together then soldered. Trimmed off any sharp potrusions. Covered with liquid tape then slipped a shrink wrap over each wire. Then made two bundles (1) the black and white power wires and (2) the 3 other control wires. After that I enclosed each bundle in a larger shrink tube and heated it securely tight using a hair dryer. After that I enclosed it all in a spiral wrap. See picture. Measured and drilled the holes for the mounting of the servo in the upper skin. Also safety wired the trim tab hinge pin. |
