Miscellaneous maintenance on forward fuselage |

Spent time today replacing and securing most of the screws, nuts, and bolts in the port side gear tower. These have to be installed in a specific sequence in some cases due to the close quarters. After routing and securing the heavy battery cable from the aft mounted tray to the starter solenoid on the firewall, I checked the clearances inside the gear towers to be sure I will be able to access and torque the bolts/nuts when it comes time to install the landing gear. I think it is going to work but it will not be particularly easy. I also reinstalled the boost pump, associated lines, and fuel transducer so I could further check gear tower access. I have not yet tightened all the connections. |
