More painting and installed vent lines in towers |
|
|
I finished up the paint on the interior side panels today and got the tank vent lines installed in the gear towers with the appropriate hardware. I plan to paint the forward part of the fuselage interior and then install the brake lines. I think it can be done without dinging the fresh paint. Working inside the gear towers is a challenge with so little room for hands and tools. I wasn't able to do much with my std size wrenches so I got a couple old used open end wrenches and shortened them to about 3" (grip length). The bulkhead fittngs require an 11/16" wrench while the flare nuts are 9/16". I will set these tools aside for future maintenence tasks inside the towers. I expect to fabricate a few more "special" tools before this project is complete. |
