Painting of components |
|
|
Had some warm weather today so I took the opportunity to scuff, prime, and paint some of the interior panels and parts. I have included images of two of the assemblies after painting and reassembly. A number of other items were painted for eventual installation in the cockpit. I am using a satin finish Rustoleum rattle can paint that looks olive drab though its official color is spruce green. The paint goes on fairly well on small to medium sized components. I haven't tried spraying a large panel so I don't know how the spray pattern will work. The results so far look good. I just hope it will prove to be a durable finish once fully cured. |
