Brief Description:	Baggage door support
I ordered a gas cylinder type lid support from McMaster-Carr for my forward baggage door. This idea came directly from Matt Dralle's RV-8 builders website. Matt even lists the McMaster part number and gives the mounting dimensions for the RV-8. I have included a picture of the support below. I have since attached the support to the baggage door with blind rivets and installed the required nutplates in a cross-member within the baggage compartment. Earlier while installing the latch blocks for the baggage door I damaged the nylon block when drilling the attachment holes for the screws. Subsequently, I ordered a replacement part and drilled it correctly and installed on the firewall.
