Initial assembly of rudder pedal components |
|
|
I match drilled the brake cylinder bracket to the rudder axles and then did the initial assembly of the rudder pedal components. The OP-3 drawing is very hard to read so I am not sure the various bolts, washers, and nuts are just right. I believe a couple thin washers should be added on a couple of the bolts as thrust washers. I also think a couple thin nylon washers should be added to the brake cylinder bracket where the cylinder attaches. Hopefully, the local hardware will have some nylon washers that will work. I also noted that two of the bolts are not long enough to allow the slotted nut to seat properly with the called out washer. I may have to order longer bolts or make some other adjustment. To wrap up the day, the battery tray fabricated earlier was set in position and the screws finger tightened. |
