Possible paint schemes - 1 I get a lot of questions about a final paint scheme for the RV-8 so I decided to take a short break from building and tinker around with some ideas. As mentioned earlier, I plan to base my paint on a composite of WWII P-51 airframes. This P-51 caught my eye because the HO designator on the side are my initials (the M would be changed to B). I also like invasion stripes on the wings, either 3 or 5 alternating white and black stripes. And, I also like the idea of the tail number on the vertical stab in large letters and numbers. Here is one based on a plane called "Petie 2nd" . Cont'd
