Copperstate Fly-In 2010 - Page 1 I took a break from building and visited two of my boys and their families in Tucson. As it happened, the 2010 Copperstate Fly-In was held in Casa Grande, AZ while I was visiting so the boys and I went to the fly-in for a day. It took a little over an hour one-way to make the trip but it was worth the effort. The total aircraft count was reported as about 500 and as usual, there was a nice array of RVs present. I actually came across an RV from Texas that was purchased from a builder in Piqua, OH just north of Dayton. Besides all the RV models, there was a variety of both experimental and factory built airplanes present on the field. I have included some of the more interesting aircraft in the following pages. By the way, the RV shown in the third picture below had a three-bladed Hartzell prop. This is the first example of this arrangment I have seen. Looked nice. Cont'd |
