Completed the countersinking of main spar |
|
|
I had a few minutes available this morning so I finished up the countersinking of the main spar. These are the holes that will accept the dimpled skins of the leading edge assembly, top and bottom skins. Connie and I flew over to Grimes Field, Urbana for lunch and to meet some of the Ohio Valley RVators. We had a good lunch and met some interesting aviators. I am looking forward to meeting more of the RVators at upcoming UFOs (I think this stands for Ultimate Fly-Outs). I should have taken some pictures of the aviators and/or their planes but I forgot. I did, however, snap a picture of a Cherokee 235 with a new Hartzell prop. That big three bladed prop and polished spinner improves the overall looks of the Cherokee, don't you think? |
