Brief Description:    Continuing on Tanks
This morning I modifed the pop riveter and attached the attach angles to the baffle. Then I put in on the wing and just had to take a picture. It really looks like a wing now. While I was working on fitting the left tank up, I fabbed all the parts for the right tank while I was at it. Maybe the second one will go a little quicker. I'm sure there are some more parts to make and, if possible, I'll fab both sets at once. After drilling all the holes that I was supposed to while the tank was on the spar, I moved it back to the bench and drilled all the skin holes. I also countersunk the skin holes where they attach to the baffle. Deburred and primed the attach brackets and riveted the platenuts on them and the three that go into the spar. The ones on the spar were a little problem to shoot and buck by myself so Reva came out for a few minutes to buck them. I'm going to order a large hole cutter tomorrow so I can cut the hole in the end tank rib. Next on the agenda is to fab the attachment angles. That will have to be on tomorrows list. While I was in Texas, I bought a pneumatic cleco gun. I really bought it for Reva as she has quite a time with the pliers, but after using it, I'm finding it indespensible. It was a really useful purchase.
