INSTALLING THE STATIC PORTS |
|
|
TO COMPLETE THE STATIC SYSTEM THE PORTS NEED TO BE CONNECTED TO THE SYSTEM BY POLLY TUBING. 1 Route the 44P poly flo tubing into the fusalage and point forward. WARNING Do not allow the 44P tubing to contact sourses of heat during installation routing. 2 A fitting (282-N-04 ) is installed when you prepare the fusalage or wing connection. Connect the poly flow tubing to this fitting. 3 route the tubing farwd tothe necessary instruments, avoid conflicts withother systems. 4 Install the airspeed indicator and altimeter using the fitting provided ( these fitting are pat off the instrument panel. 5 Complete the tubing and the connections using the schedmatic figure. STATIC PORT INSTALLATION 1 Drill a 1/4 hole trough the fusalage at the determined location.. 2 From inside the fusalage , open up the hold to approx 2 " diamenter, ONLY. 3 Create a 1/4 fillet with flox at the perimeter of th de-cored area. 4Lay up6 plies of carbon bid staggerd 1" for every 2 plies. T he first set of plies extend 1" past the edge off the core. 5 Redrill the 1/4 hole aftr the layup has cured. 6 bond the static port (9397) in position with epoxy/flox. Adjust the position of the port so the opening is flush with the fusalage or extend past to be ground flush later. 7 Using micro , creat a radius along the length of the tubeing from the static portto the bottom of the fusalage. Then cover the tubing withcarbon layup. 8 Connect the static port to the appropriate instrument using the 44P poly flo tubing. |
