Brief Description:	Right Elevator Counterbalance Cut Out... Ack
I can't believe Van's makes you notch the Horz Stab skin to fit the counterbalance. It looks to be exactly 1" too short. WARNING! I would recommend cutting this to 7/8" first then expanding to 1" if you really feel you need the clearence. I've got about 1/8" more clearence than it seems I need right now at 1" cut. I'm thinking that after the fiberglass tip is installed, the full 1" will be needed, but I would have felt a lot better if I'd only cut 7/8". Think twice, cut once dipshit... I'm not sure if Van's intentially under cuts these to make sure builders take responsibility in assuring proper counter-balance clearence. Let me just say that it really really really SUCKS having to hack into my near perfect Horz Stab to cut out these little 1/4" x 1" areas. Come on, Van's just cut them for us!!
