Fuselage - Rudder Pedal - Adjustment locking mecan |

One short entry for two short evening session on the RV. Momentarilly decided to put aside working on the fuel/brake line until I get all the tools I ordered. This Monday and Tuesday evening, I worked on the Adjustable Rudder Pedal release assembly/locking mechanism. Monday evening, I separared the F-8103C Release Spacers and deburred each parts. I also deburred the F-8102 release lever. Tuesday evening, I assembled the lever, spacers and lifters. I realized I do not have the specified rivets MS20470AD4-11 in stock. I didn't want make an order and wait a few days just for two rivets. Instead, I used MS20426AD4-14 rivets that were cut down to size. It also meant that I had to dimple one of the lifter F-8103B and countersink associated holes in one spacer. That work all right in the end. I also drilled the small hole in the F-8102A Handle and deburr the edge of this tube. Later, I may paint this tube, either red or yellow. While I was there, I made per drawing the small lock pin assembly F-8103E |
