Fuselage - FWD Fuse Final Assembly |
|
|
Today, I did a little less than I wanted, nevertheless, good progress on the FWD Fuse Final Assembly was made. I did: - Removed the lower longerons F843 LH & RH to deburr drilled holes and relieve the angle vertex on the aft end, per drawing. - Reinstalled temporarily the lower longerons F843 LH & RH - Fitted the auxiliary longerons F844 L/H & RH, then the F802S-1 spacers followed by the F802D-1 landing gear box plates. To ease the fitting of F802S, I lined up parts with cleco from the outside first, then drilled all the holes dia #30 to remove paint, then added cleco from the inside, ending up by removing the extra cleco installed from the outside. - I final drilled the holes between Mid Cabin brace F878 and Center Section top fwd flange. - Finally, I spent quite a bit of time radiusing the upper longeron gussets F848-1 L/H and RH to ensure they are not fouling with Center Section fwd bulkhead radius. I spend quite a bit of time in the shop today, but all along, I also spent some time speaking with friends on the phone. My Dad also came to the shop, and I made him work on on the aircraft as well. He helped installing the F802D-1 landing gear box plate. |
