Following inspection of my fwd floor F822-1 assembly by Fred more than a month ago, I decided tonight to tackle the gap problem I have between F802L-1 and the floor F822. As suggested by Fred, I tried to hammer the part with a punch (with a rivet in the hole) to force the dimple into the counterskunk hole in F802L-1. After much hamering, I still have a gap between these parts. As a result, I decided to proceed with Fred's second suggestion to create a solid shim 0.025" think to fill the gap. This will require the I remove all rivets from the floor structure and reinstall parts later. I started tonight to remove rivets, but then I stopped.
