Fuselage - Prep for bending F802D-1 & F804H-1 |

|
This Thursday afternoon, my objective was to prepare parts F802D-1 Landing Gear Box Plates and F804H-1 Center Section Side Plate for forming/bending them to match with the upper part of L/G box or center section (Ref: Instruction page 8-16, steps 1 and 2 on the page). Parts have been deburred a long time ago. They now needed the proper bend on them prior to send them to prime. Therefore, I did: A) L/G Box Sub Assy - Re assemble both L/G boxes on Cleco, to use them as mock-up to help bend F802D-1 L/H and R/H parts accordingly with L/G Box bulkheads F802A-1 and F802B-1. - On each F802D-1 parts, identify which one will be the RH or LH parts, then make bending lines with a sharpie pen every 1/2" inch from the top of part - Locate the F802D-1 parts on the L/G Box, RH and LH B) Center Section Sub Assy - Similar to L/G Box sub assy's, I had to re-assemble the Center Section on Cleco - I Identified which one of the F804H-1 would become the RH or the LH part - Drafted the bending lines from top of parts - Located parts F804H-1 on both side of the Center Section. My plan now is to go visit a local bodyshop where they have a sheet metal brake. I will make the small bends with that sheet metal brake to give the necessary curve to the parts I worked from 14h30 until 18h15, with interruptions |
