On the morning on that day, prior to actually work on the aircraft part themselves, I went to Acier Terrebonne to buy a steel plate for eventually use as back riveting plate. Then I went to visit Ben Forget at his body shop in St-Roch-L'Achigan to talk about priming my parts in his paint booth. I asked Ben if he could help me with bending my firewall web per drawing 60. We went to a neighboor shop who had the right sheet mental bender to this work, and it took 30 seconds to get it right to drawing dimensions. Gave a $5 tip to this shop owner for helping me out with this. Upon return to my shop in the afternoon, I did: Ref: RNC80001 disposition: - I received replacement parts from Van's for F801H, therefore, I deburred these parts L/H and RH, open holes full size and c'sink holes dia #30, plus holes for nut plate on F801H-R-1 - Oversize hole 1/4" dia to 3/8" in web F801A-1, then deburr this hole. Ref DWG 60: - Dimple countersink holes in Firewall web F801A-1 I worked on this from 15h30 until 18h30 |
