Started L. Elevator assembly. Riveted spar re-enforcement plates, nut plates, root rib, horn weldment and top skin stiffeners. I used a different jig to spread the skins to back rivet the stiffeners. The new jig worked much better and I am happy the way this skin is turning out. I will rivet the skin to the spar tomorrow and hope the final results are better than the R. elevator. |
