Today I worked on the joint plate that will go between the leading edge and the leading edge of the gas tanks. I slid the W-408-1 rib into place and made sure that everything was in perfect alignment. Then I backdrilled the aft flange of the rib from the wing spar and clecoed it in place. Now came time to slide the W-423 joint plate into place and make sure I had the required edge distances as well as the prescribed 11/16" of the plate exposed to attach to the tank. Once everyting was secured and triple checked I match drilled the holes with the leading edge skin. Presto! Now onto the fuel tanks!! : (
