I spent a few hours today measuring and drilling the proper holes in the Z-brackets that will hold the fuel tank onto the main spar. Once I was finished, I was reading a blog about an alternate method of drilling these Z-brackets. The issue being if you follow the plans you will have a hard time getting a socket over the bolt to torque these bolts to the correct value. After a little research and thinking, I thought it would be best to just order new Z-brackets and follow the alternate method. This just moves the bolt holes over 1/8th of an inch while still maintaining edge distances. Lesson learned. Read the blogs FIRST and learn from others.
