The W-731 tie down bar was drilled per the dimensions on the plans. The one bolt was slipped through main spar and clamped in place with the fabricated spacers. All the holes were then back drilled. Everything was removed from the front spar and then clecoed together as a seperate assembly. The platenut holes were then drilled using a spare platenut. The assembly was then taken apart for edge finishing, deburring, and priming. The platenuts, spacers and the tie down bar were riveted together and then bolted to the main spar with the W-823PP bellcrank brackets with the proper torque values. This process was repeated for the right tie down assembly. At this point the front spar hole that the stall warning wires will run through was enlarged per the stall warning system schematic on the left side only.
