Brief Description:    Preparing the right elevator
E-00001A and B hinge doublers were fabricated and sized for a tight fit in the spar web. The E-610PP, E-611PP, E-00001A and B, and the platenuts were clecoed to the E-702 spar and then match drilled. The end ribs and the counterbalance ribs were prepared by fluting and then clecoed together and match drilled. The counterweight was placed at the forward end of E-703 and E-704 and the counterbalance skin was clecoed around the counterbalance. The two holes on the forward face were then drilled to accomodate the #12 bolts that will attach the counterbalance weight. The weight was removed and then clecoed to E-702. The root rib was clecoed on and then match drilled. The understructure was then clecoed to the elevator skin. The WD-605-1-R elevator horn was clecoed and drilled. The skin was then matchdrilled. The elevator parts were then dissassembled, deburred, dimpled, countersunk, beveled, and finally primed.
