Tape was put over the holes that will attach the ribs and the elevator brackets so that I didnt accidentally put a rivet there. The HS-609PP bars were riveted to the HS-603PP rear spar channels. Then the elevator hinge brackets were riveted onto the rear spar. The HS-411PP center bearing was then bolted to the rear spar. On my first attempt at setting the proper torque I soon realized my torque wrench wasnt working and I overtourqued the bolt and sheared it. A quick trip to sears and the bolts were properly torqued. Then I moved onto the front spar. HS-810-1, HS-814-1, and HS-00003 were riveted to the HS-702 front spar. There are some flush rivets called for in the plans so that when attaching the horizontal stab to the fuselage the front spar will lay flat on the attachment. The HS-00006 and HS-00005 ribs were riveted to the front spar.
