Right elevator stiffeners and skin |
|
|
Deburred and dimpled all the remaining stiffeners/L angles and then deburred and dimpled the skin. The plans called for priming and back riveting immediately after this but I want to see whether I can complete the skeleton too for a more efficient spray session. Also cleaned up the hingedoublers. Got stuck into the elevator tip with 703, 704, 713 and 714. This my first foray into counterbalanced control surfaces. After a bit of light sanding to the lead weight I managed to get it to fit very tighly into the strap piece and decided after that to call it a night as the plans call for using drilling lubricant before drilling the lead counter weight so one for tomorrow. |
