Left wing fuel tank part #21 |

Same as last night. I wet set the rivets in the top of the skin tonight, enough to remove the clecos. I then cleaned all of the rivet holes and will rivet the remainder of the interior rib rivets tomorrow. I decided that I wanted to take the right tank off as I may pressure test for leaks tomorrow...well, that turned into an adventure. I screwed teh tank on when some of the proseal wasn't cured...BIG MISTAKE. It cured on the spar.... After some very gentle persuasion, I was able to get it off...man that stuff is strong! The line of proseal stuck on the spar may have been about 2 inches by 1/8th long, but what strength. My order from Avery arrived today. Some new screw on drill bits for my 90 degree attachments, a Y union for my pitot/static, and a hidden door hinge. Called stein today about making me a harness for the HS-34/GTX327/D180. |
