Worked on the Duckworks landing light tonight. I started off with the lens being warm and took the dremmel and rough cut the plexi. Once that was done, I took it to the scotchbrite wheel and it made quick work of it. I then took it to the sander and made sure that my edges were nice and straight. I made the tape handle as suggested, but just could not get a nice enough pull on it, so I placed my hand through the outboard edge lightening hole and held it in place. Started with a #40, then clecoed and moved may way along. Once done, I moved up to the #30 drill bit. I'll finish off the lens tomorrow night, put everything together and test the light. No cracking! |
