After I finished smoothing out the edges of the lens cutout, I used the rib template and removed the two ribs from thw leading edge. I located the holes for the nutplates on both ribs, drilled, countersunk and riveted the 10-32 (K1000-3) nutplates to the ribs. Moved onto the reflector mount where it was debured, scotchbrited, cleaned and then primed. Once dry, I riveted the K1000-3 nutplates to both sides of the relfector mount. I also drilled the holes to #30 for the retaining strips and scotchbrited those. I setup lines to 3/4 for the top and bottom and 5/8ths to the sides of the cutout and then traced that line onto the lens. Iwill shape the lens tomorrow, prime the retaining strips and rivet the nutplates to the retaining strips. I also have to debur, scotchbrite, clean and prime the lens retaining bracket.
