Clecoed the R-606PP, R-607PP and R-608PP to the R-802PP spar. Had a tough time figuring out which piece of sheet metal out of the trim kit to use for the R-717 spacers and the two R-716s rudder bottom attach strips. None of the aluminum sheets were labeled. After careful research and measurements, I selected the right sheet and started my measurments. I also measured the trimming of the R-710....thank goodness I didn't cut my original marks. I reviewed what others had done with the 710 and learned that the blueprints set you up to lose the minimum edge distance required. I moved the cut line further away to ensure that the MED will be met for the rivets. I don't know why Van's doesn't send a supplemental with this? The bottom most rod end hole was enlarge to 3/8s using a Unibit in steps.
