Douing some fine tuning on the fit of the spinner and cowl. I ground off some more of the lower cowl spinner ring today and then remounted the cowl 9even Judy commented on how easy it is to get on and off now). It looed great...... until, I remounted the upper cowl, and then I noticed that the upper cowl was a smidge bit closer than the lower. That should be a little easier to fix, as the build-up on the upper is filler and a bit easier to sand. Before remounting the upper, I put some mylar tape across the front edge of the cowl where the induction rings connect with the spinner ring, when I remounted and screwed the upper and lower I mixed up some micro/flox mixture and squeeged it in between the gap/seam when the two halves meet. The previous gap was irregular and inconsistent and unattractive. before remounting I used a file and trued up the bottom edge oof the upper 9the one that got the mylar tape applied. when the flox hardened I'll sand it flush, it should provide a nice clean match.
