Fill-in work until engine gets here. Finished sanding the nose gear fairing and intersection fairings. These should be good to go into prime now. Then worked on the Throttle,Prop,Mixture firewall penetrationn. I ordered some fixtures from Acircraft Spruce, but the 3 holes that Van's has you drill in the firewall when it's being constructed are too close together, So,,, I fabricated a mounting plate from some scrab Stainless steel left over from the Faux Firewall, and mounted the 3 eyeball swivels pass-throughs. Then I cut out an area in the firewall 'box' and matchdrilled and dimpled the mounting plate for CS4-4's. After the instrument panel is mounted I'll thread the 3 cables through the eyeballs, and then Rivet w/ Pro-seal the mounting plate to the firewall. I also need to make provisions for an Alternate Air, and Fuel Purge Cable and drill/mount those eyeballs.
