Tried to hang the engine yesterday, but determined that Van's had packed/shipped the wrong engine mounts. No Problem, called Vans' they overnighted the RIGHT mounts, so today when the Fed Ex truck puled up we opened the package and the contents weren't even engine mounts they sent 4 engine bolt kits for the IO 540 !?!?! I guess they've got some new people in the shipping dept and some new processes and thingsa aren't working smoothly yet (you say?) So another overnight and we'll se if tomorrow is a brighter day. We did get the engine up close to the engine mount and it looks like it could be VERY close between the bottom of the sump and the engine mount cross member. I'm keeping my fingers crossed????
