Yesterday, I figured out the wiring physical runs for the Electrical power distrubution system. I'm using the Z14 Dual Battery Dual Bus, Dual Alternator architecture. After getting the wiring sizes and runs identified, I bought some #4 and #2 welding cable, and terminals, and some more #10 AWG. Today, I fabbed the mounting plates for the contactors, drilled and mounted them. I'm mounting each battery contactor aft with each battery, I'm also mounting the Cross Feed contactor Aft as well, There doesn't appear to be any way to avoid having to pul a #2 and a #4 AWG cable from the aft section up to the firewall/panel.Fabbed a ground tab to ground both batteries to the airframe. Spent the rest of the time cutting and fabricating #4 cables per B. Nuckols instructions and soldered on the appropriate terminals and connected per the Z14 diagram. I still need to run a #4 and a #2 cable from the battery/contactor assembly forward. I started pushing the #2 through the conduit, but it's slow going and not sure it will make it.
