Frustrating day. 1st I forgot to rivet the 1049D floor stiffeners in on the previous section so went back and did that, Then began to rivet the Firewall assembly to the fwd fuse bottom skins assembly. Riveted the firewall to the fwd bottom edge of the skin, and then discovered that I hadn't dimpled/countersunk the bottom of the 1048 firewall ribs @#$%$!!!!! Drilled out the firewall/skin rivets, cleaned off the Pro-Seal @#%$!!!! I went back and check the plans to see where it indicated that the 1048 rubs should get dimpled/csnk aand I couldn't find it. It's obvious that they need to I should have caught it before starting, Oh Well!!! I ended up countersinking them, a dimple really didn't do much as the material is too thick. Then started over again, and planned to back rivet these ribs, after drilling out about 30 -40 rivets that I just could not get to set flush, I asked Judy's help and bucked them, Should have done that in the 1st place, with her help it took maybe 30-40 minutes vs the 2-3 hours of wasted time $#%@!!! Finished up riveting the fwd end of the 1049 floor ribs to the firewall and the aft end of the 1048's to the bulkhead, Then bolted and riveted the Fwd center section bulkhead assembly to the Fwd fuse assembly. Tomorrow I'll join the fwd and mid assemblies permanently, (I hope)
