Fuel System |
|
|
I am using a weather head fuel valve which will be mounted close to the fire wall. So, I have set up a remote control through a 3/8 piece of tubing to operate as an extension. I reamed the tubing to .303 to accept the fuel valve. On the mill I drilled 3/32 holes to accept two roll pins, which will be safety wired in place. Turning to the control end, I tried to replicate the control portion of the valve. I turned a piece of rod on one end to press fit and pin into the 3/8 tubing. On the other end I turned it to diameter, then added the taper and a flat to match the control handle supplied by the manufacturer. To finish, I drilled and tapped the end to accept the screw that attaches the handle. |
