Brief Description:	Question regarding alternative fastening method ot
I recently completed the pro-seal and riveting of the firewall on my RV-7 (i.e. installed the F-601k-1 Firewall Recess). Upon finalising the riveting, I realised I forgot to rivet on part You can see this part on Drawing 37 and is where the F-6118 Brake Pedal Brace attaches to the F-601N-L Firewall Stiffener. The plans call out AN4704-5 rivets. Could I use a Pulled Rivet or a Bolt in lieu? I cannot seem to access the rivet location now that I have installed the F-601K-1 Firewall Recess. *************************************************************************************************************** It should be fine to install pulled rivets here in place of the 470-4’s. Just keep an eye on this area during inspections. *************************************************************************************************************** But using Bolts -> It will be stronger than the original idea and will also be removable so therefore no problem at all.
