I've been away from the project for a while trying to finish up some home projects: Pantry shelves and some of the remaining trim from the hardwood floor project
I started work on the trailing edge. Assembled trailing edge and clecoed every hole looking at the fit up for bulges before sealing it up. Sure enough there were several. That led to re-countersinking several of the holes in the wedge.
Reassembled trailing edge and found more fit up issues which led to additional countersinking
Fits together very well now. I was a little worried about the size of some of the wedge holes to get the trailing edge to mate properly, but with the sealant sandwiched in there, I think it will be all right.
Cut and drilled a length of aluminum angle for holding the trailing edge straight
